UPDATE FROM THE ’08 PROMOTIONAL TEAM=

This year’s promotional group has been more unique than any other group we have had in the past. With just six people traveling, we have four different singing groups as well as a ventriloquist and a gospel magic act! So far, the group has been to the Virginia State Meeting in Coeb= urn, VA; First FWB Church in Greenville, SC; Fairview FWB Church in Spartanburg,= SC; North Spartanburg FWB Church, also in Spartanburg, SC; Gilead FWB Church and Grace FWB Church, both in Lake City, SC; St. John’s FWB Church, Patri= ck, SC; and Peace FWB Church, Florence, SC. Each of the services has gone well, providing countless opportunities for us to meet new people and also to pro= mote the college. One thing the group is careful to mention at each place they v= isit is that they are traveling not only to promote Gateway Christian College but also to promote our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. They also emphasize that their goal at each church is to minister and not to perform. One other memb= er of the group that was not mentioned is this year’s promotional mascot= , a toy moose. PASTOR’S TRAVELS

My family and I are headed south on vacation. We will spend a week with Donna’s family in Amory, MS, an= d then on to south Alabama where I will preach a revival for my good friend, Mike Griggs. I am so excited about my family being with me. The GCC promotional = team will join us on Monday night of the revival. I look forward to being back w= ith Pastor Griggs and his wonderful congregation. Then, on the way home we will spend the rest of our vacation time in Atlanta. Our family is looking forwa= rd to this time together.

COLLEGE NEEDS

People often ask, “What are the needs of GCC?” Of course, like everywhere there are always financial needs. However, I would = like to give you our three greatest needs: prayer, students, and financial supporters. The greatest need we have is prayer—the most powerful wea= pon and tool we have in the ministry. Secondly, we need students to educate and train to send across this country and around the world to serve our Lord. P= ray for more students to consider GCC. Finally, we need more financial supporte= rs. Pray for more Alpha Omega partners—people who commit to pray for us a= nd pledge to give a regular financial gift to GCC. We appreciate all of our Al= pha Omega partners and pray for many more.
