It is hard to believe that we have already come to our Thanksgiving break for college. Most of our students have left to join their families for a special time together. Others will join friends or church fa= mily for Thanksgiving. It is a special time for each of us as we take time to gi= ve thanks. Thanksgiving should be every day for the child of God, but it is go= od to have this time for special emphasis. With that in mind, I would like to thank each of you for your support of GCC. God has blessed our college with= a wonderful staff and students. GCC is blessed to be part of a great ministry that gives our students an ideal place to train for ministry. Thanks to all of our Gateway family and friends for your pray= ers and financial support for GCC. We could not do what we do without yo= u.

TWO-WEEK BLOCK COURSES IN JANUARY, Daniel Smith: Academic Dean

Gateway Christian College will begin offering January block courses in January 2009 between first and second semesters. These blo= ck courses will meet each week day beginning January 6 and running through Jan= uary 19. The morning class that is being offered from 8:00 to 11:30 a.m. is MI 201 Survey of Christian Missions. This course is designed to aid the student in comprehending= and taking personal responsibility for world evangelism as well as in understan= ding the true nature of missionary outreach. The afternoon class that is being offered from 1:00 to 4:30 p.m. is MI 403 Missionary Methods. This course focuses on important aspects of missionary preparation and methodology, such as the missionary’s call, preparation, relationships, and orientation. Each class is a two credit hour course and will be taught by Dr. Johnny Sexton. PROMOTIONAL TRAVEL, David Postlewaite: Promotional Director

The GCC promotional team was recently privileged to be a par= t of several special services. The Lord truly blessed the revival services at the Harrison FWB Church in Minford, OH, while Pastor Sexton and the group were there. Pastor Darryl Grimes and the church family were very generous hosts,= and the kindness they showed us was indeed Christ-like. We were also able to be= at Union Chapel FWB Church in Chocowinity, NC. Pastor Henry Horne and the peop= le were a tremendous blessing to us, as we pray we were to them. Most importan= tly, we thank the Lord Jesus who has been faithful and protective in watching ov= er the group as we have traveled many miles this past year. To God be the glory!
